Conjunctions


There are two types of conjunctions:

Conjunctions connect two words, phrases, or clauses.

Coordinating Conjunctions
and
but
so
or
for
nor
yet

Coordinating conjunction form Compound Sentences.

Subordinating Conjunctions
Although
Even though
Though

If 
Unless

After
Before
When
While

Because
Since


Subordinating conjunction form Adverbial Clauses. Adverbial clauses are always dependent clauses, so they form Complex Sentences.
