Adverbs

Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.
A. Modifying Verbs
An adverb that modifies a verb tells how the verb is done. 
  • My grandma walks slowly
  • They work hard
  • Sam sings well
B. Modifying Adjectives and Adverbs
An adverb that modifies an adjective or an adverb are called adverbs of degree. They modify the degree of the word that is being modified.
  • The  house is big enough
  • That bed is very comfortable. 
  • The room is too crowded.
  • She swims very fast.
  • They work really carefully.
  • I'm doing very fine.
