What are parts of Speech?
The classification of a word based on the function it has in a sentence. 

There are nine parts of speech in English:

Content Words (which carry the meaning of the sentence)

Nouns

Verbs

Adjectives

Adverbs

Function Wods (which are grammatically necessary words)

Pronouns

Prepositions

Articles

Conjunctions

Interjections
